Harare International School, Harare Zimbabwe 1998-2000 (Pearce Partnership) 

Concept Design with Mick Pearce; Detail Design for Phases 2 to 5. Elaine played a key role in development of Passive Cooling system alongside Mick Pearce and Arup (Zimbabwe). This project has world recognition for its passive cooling system using rock stores. The Harare International School won an Award of Merit in the 1999, Zimbabwe Institute of Architects Design Awards. The building won an Engineering Council Award in London 2001 and has won several other awards subsequently
